Topic: The State of Charter Schools in Marin County

Charter schools are getting a lot of attention lately, both nationally and locally. Our committee has been working to better understand this complex and controversial topic, and we are eager to share what we are learning with other League members. We will talk about how charter schools began, evolved, and operate in California today, cover some fundamentals of the national and local char-ter school debates, and take a studied look at the charter schools in our county. Join us for what should be a stimulating and timely discussion!
