Vacancies on the Marin County Human Rights Commission
Seats open for at-large representative and one from supervisorial District 1
San Rafael, CA – The application deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. TOMORROW - Friday, January 14, for openings on the Marin Human Rights Commission.
There is one at-large vacancy and one seat available for a representative of supervisorial District 1 (Terra Linda, Lucas Valley, Marinwood, Santa Venetia, San Rafael, Peacock Gap, Los Ranchitos, Country Club, Bayview).
The mission of the Human Rights Commission is to promote a community based on social justice, with equality for all, and to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability. The commission provides a public forum, serves as a resource to the community, and advises the Board of Supervisors on human rights issues.
