California's Housing Crisis: Policy Barriers & Solutions, Hosted by LWVC

  • VIRTUAL EVENT - REGISTER BELOW USA (map)

The League of Women Voters of California is excited to announce the second event in our three-part advocacy webinar series. The focus of our second session will be on housing. Each webinar features experts and a guided discussion to dig into these issues and the policies shaping them. This information will help equip us to take action in our communities and across the state.

Why is there a housing problem in California? What barriers are preventing communities from accessing affordable housing? What can we do to improve access to and availability of affordable housing? These questions and more will be answered at our second webinar: "California's Housing Crisis: Policy Barriers & Solutions."

Join us on April 29 from 6:30-8 PM for a policy-informed conversation with experts:

Corey Smith – Executive Director, Housing Action Coalition

Noerena Limón – Chief Executive Officer, Casita Coalition

Cesar Covarrubias– Executive Director, Kennedy Commission

Moderated by: League of Women Voters of the Beach Cities President, Teri Neustaedter

They’ll share what the current landscape of housing policy in California looks like, obstacles toward construction and access to affordable housing, legislation related to the issue, and what we can all do to make an impact.

The webinar is free to attend - donations are strongly encouraged to support the League’s critical advocacy efforts in Sacramento and throughout California.
