Eddy Cumins is the General Manager of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) District.  As General Manager he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of SMART’s transit and freight services. Eddy is also responsible for the planning and construction of SMART’s multi-use pathway network and rail extensions. Prior to joining SMART as GM in November 2021, he served as Chief Operating Officer for the Utah Transit Authority. Eddy earned a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University and holds a B.S. in Human Resource Development from Southwestern College.
