A look at the 2016 Presidential Election and what it says about trends in politics in contemporary America. 

It's an exciting election year, primaries in June and presidential in November. Our guest speaker is Bruce E Cain the distinguished political scientist. A pioneer on computer-assisted redistricting, he is a well-known expert in elections, term limits, polling and the relationship between lobbyists and elected officials. He is a frequently cited source in media coverage of politics. 

Professor Bruce E. Cain is the Spence and Cleone Eccles Family Director of the Bill Lane Center for the America West and the Ducommun Professor in Humanities and Science at Stanford University. Professor Cain brings a wealth of experience in U.S. and California politics. 

The event will be held at the Spinnaker restaurant in Sausalito.
