Celebrate the 19th Amendment’s centennial with us online this Wed., Aug. 26, 2020, on the 100th anniversary of the day women’s right to vote was signed into law and Women’s Equality Day!
Virtual festivities include the launch of the online exhibit “Fight for the Right: 100 Years of Women Voting,” plus a video tour of this latest onsite exhibit led by First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom at 4 pm. Later at sunset around 8 pm, we’ll be participating with the California State Archives in “Forward Into Light,” a nationwide campaign from the Women's Vote 100 honoring the fight for women’s suffrage by lighting up buildings in purple and gold inspired by the suffragist slogan, “Forward through the Darkness, Forward into Light.”
