PUBLIC MEETING: Marin County Board of Supervisors FINAL District Map Discussion

  • Online Event (ZOOM): info at RedistrictMarin.org (map)

For the County of Marin, redistricting is the once-a-decade process of redrawing boundaries for supervisorial districts after the U.S. Census.

The Board of Supervisors has held three public hearings for the County’s redistricting process and is planning for the fourth and final hearing December 7. Feedback received from the public has led to focusing on maps that recognize a large Spanish-speaking community of interest in central San Rafael and that better distribute county population among the five supervisorial districts. Recordings of previous public hearings, as well as the publicly submitted maps and written feedback received thus far, are available to view at www.RedistrictMarin.org. You can still submit written feedback by e-mailing redistricting@marincounty.org

Save the date for the fourth public hearing

The Board of Supervisors will hold the fourth public hearing on December 7 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The Board will review final draft maps, hold a public hearing, and vote to choose one plan to adopt as the new supervisorial district boundaries. The legal deadline for the Board of Supervisors to adopt a redistricting plan is December 15, 2021.
