A healthy democracy requires citizens who have the skills and knowledge to participate fully in the democratic process. Even in today’s polarized political era, Americans across the country agree that the United States needs to invest in its civic education for young people.

This program will spotlight the investment in civic education as defined in Our Common Purpose, with a conversation led by David McCullough III and current high school students and a panel discussion with Danielle Allen, Shawn P. Healy, Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg and Tammy Waller.
