Agenda Item #1: No earlier than 5 p.m. Wednesday, the Board and Planning Commission will hear a request from the Community Development Agency (CDA) to conduct a hearing on the Draft Environment Impact Review (EIR) for the Housing and Safety Elements Update to the 2007 Marin Countywide Plan. The Housing Element addresses long-term housing needs for the unincorporated parts of the county and will address the state-mandated Regional Housing Need Allocation (RHNA) for next planning period, 2023-2030. The Safety Element refers to climate change adaptation measures including wildfire, sea level rise, and flooding concerns. Staff recommends that the Board review the staff report and accept public comments.
