ABOUT THE BALLOT:

NOTES: Your ballot is determined by the district boundaries where you live. It is printed in your County Official Voter Information, online in your Voter Information Portal and on VotersEdge.org. You can request a sample (practice) ballot in Chinese, Spanish or Vietnamese by calling the Marin County Elections Dept. at 415-473-6456.


IMPORTANT DATES:

October 10:

  • Vote-by-Mail ballots mailed to active registered voters

  • Vote-by-Mail ballots can be issued at the Elections Department

  • Marin County Elections Dept. Vote Center Opens ( Location & Hours )

October 11: Official Ballot Drop Boxes Available ( Locations & Hours )

October 24: Voter Registration Deadline (Last day to register to vote easily online - registertovote.ca.gov )

October 25: Conditional Voter Registration & Same Day Voting Begins at Elections Dept. Vote Center ( Learn More )

October 29:

  • Several 11-Day Vote Centers open for in-person voting; any voter can use any Vote Center ( Locations & Hours )

    • Vote Center services include; Early voting, Conditional Voter Registration & Same Day Voting, Accessible voting, language assistance, replace lost/damaged ballot, general assistance.

November 5 - 8: Additional Vote Centers Open (total of 20) for 4 days ( Locations & Hours )

November 8: ELECTION DAY - Last Day to Vote

  • Vote by mail ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day (Nov 8) and received by the Elections Dept by 7 days after Election Day (Nov 15). No postage needed, sign and date the return envelope to insure that your ballot is counted.

  • Ballots returned to an Official Ballot Drop Box or Vote Center must be dropped off before 8pm on Election Day, no postage needed, envelope must be signed for ballot to be counted.

  • Less than 7 days before Election Day, it is recommended to return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Box or Vote Center to avoid possible postmark issues.
